Escape from Brexit
How a bout of flu and a political crisis brought me to Supertext.
For a long time, when people asked me why I moved to Berlin, I didn’t know the answer. In fact, I still don’t know the answer. But I can tell you why I stayed.
The online language service provider has settled in nicely on Dudenstrasse in Berlin Kreuzberg and is expanding the team.
On February 1, 2006, Supertext went online with its copyediting service and became the first ever web-based copywriting agency. Ten years later, Supertext is now among the 100 largest language service providers worldwide, with a network of more than 700 freelancers and 30 in-house employees in its Zurich, Lausanne and Berlin offices.
It’s taken nine years, five cities, four jobs, and three countries for me to come to my senses.

Freelancing offers freedom and adventure, but it has its downsides too. After many years, the curtain closes on a one-man show. I must have some office casual wear somewhere here. Meet me down the hall at the water cooler.
